In the United States and average of 1000 innocent pedestrians are injured every day by negligent drivers of motor vehicles. Injuries sustained included broken bones, paralysis, brain injuries, coma and death. Negligent and unsafe drivers must be responsible for injuries that are inflicted on others. Unfortunately children account for most pedestrians injured by a motor vehicle. In fact, children under the age of four account for nearly 40 percent of pedestrian-injury related deaths. If you have children, now is the time to discuss pedestrian safety.
