Woman Arrested After Man Dies in Crash

The life of a man was claimed in a head-on crash on Highway 12 about five miles south of Porter, Washington, and a woman has been arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide related to the case.

The woman was identified by police as a 32-year-old from Olympia. A fifty-five-year-old man from Oakville died at the scene.

According to the State Patrol, after striking the guard rails on each side of the road, the woman’s SUV hit the man’s car head-on. The vehicles were going in opposite directions.

The woman apparently suffered bruises and was taken by ambulance to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. There she was treated and released. She was then booked into jail. The woman was wearing a seatbelt, but the man who died was not, according to the State Patrol.
