A woman who was struck by a car near the intersection of 188th Street SW and Highway 99 in Lynnwood was rushed to a Seattle hospital after the pedestrian accident, officials said. The crash occurred just before 10 a.m.
According to Marybeth O’Leary, a Lynnwood fire spokeswoman, officials have not yet determined how the woman, who is described in her 30s, ended up in the road and was ultimately hit.
The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.
The accident is being investigated by Lynnwood police.
