Road closed after crash Tuesday morning

An automobile driver was arrested by Seattle police after driving into a construction site early Tuesday.

Just before 12:45a.m., the automobile crash occured in the 10100 block of Holman Road Northwest, Seattle police reported.

According to witnesses, the driver was speeding when he hit a truck and then a light tower used by crews working at the site.

The driver was apparently trapped at one point, but managed to get out and even tried to run. He did not get far before police officers arrested him.

The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment, said spokeswoman Renee Witt. The automobile crash prompted police to close Holman Road to all traffic for about two hours.
